ANGUILLA Q & A

Anguilla!  I knew it would be beautiful. We were introduced back in 2016 and there hasn’t been many other places that can compare.  Anguilla is on another level. I quickly found out on social media that many of you would like to visit Anguilla, and the questions came pouring in. Here I’ll share the questions and my honest answers.  Anguilla would be an ideal honeymoon, babymoon or anniversary trip. We stayed at Zemi Beach. The property is incredible with multiple pools and restaurants. There are rooms with balcony plunge pools, private villas and breathtaking views of the insanely gorgeous Caribbean. These were the most frequently asked questions.

Q: How do you get to Anguilla?

A: St. Maarten’s International Airport (SXM), also known as Princess Juliana International Airport, is the nearest commercial gateway to Anguilla, and includes a full schedule of daily flights for international travelers. From there we traveled to Anguilla via boat. You can also take a ferry.

Q: Where exactly is Anguilla located?

A: Anguilla, is in the British West Indies in the Eastern Caribbean Leeward Islands. Anguilla is located five miles from neighboring St. Maarten and 18 miles from St. Barths.

Q: Where did you stay?

A: We stayed at Zemi Beach House. Zemi is an intimate boutique hotel of 65 rooms consisting of superior rooms, premium rooms and 1, 2 or 3 bedroom penthouse suites & beachfront villas suites. It is perfect for family stays, honeymoons and small to large weddings. The feel is you are in your own beachfront home.

Q: What spa did you visit?

A: We went to the Zemi Thai House Spa. It is a sanctuary of private spa suites, and a yoga deck. Housed within an authentic 300-year-old Thai house, this serene and luxurious retreat features the island’s only hammam, as well as multifunction treatment rooms with showers, relaxation areas with beautiful views, a fresh juice bar and a wellness boutique.

Q: What was the weather like?

A: Perfect! Low humidity and warm.

Q: Any restaurant recommendations off property?

A: We loved Hibernia. The food was sublime and the staff was friendly and attentive.

Q: Did you rent a car?

A: No, we arranged transportation with the concierge.

Q: Was it kid-friendly?

A: Very! The kids went snorkelling, boating, swimming and had a blast! There’s also a Kids Club 🙂 The Zemi Beach House Kids Club offers full days of indoor fun for our youngest guests. Arts and crafts, board and video games and coconut bowling are among the scheduled activities.

They welcome children ages 4 through 12 daily, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Movie Nights are scheduled once or twice a week, allowing parents to plan a romantic dinner while their children enjoy their own night out with new friends.

All complimentary for their guests.

Q: Did you feel safe?

A: 100% at all times.
