Thank you all for stopping by! Savannah is extraordinarily beautiful and I can’t wait to go back! Here are some recs from my trip. LMK if you’ve visited and what your recs are!

• Where to stay- JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District– Located in the historic district. The hotel used to be a power plant! The hotel retains the 1912 power plant architectural character with historic details throughout the property. It has excellent rooms, restaurants, a fabulous spa, exquisite rooftop bar and probably the best lobby ever because it has a few dinosaurs and fossils in it!
• Restaurants- Sixpence Bar & Grill– excellent location, great for outdoor seating, good food and drinks, and if you’re a Julia Roberts fan- it was featured in the movie “Something to talk about.’ Husk– Centrally located in the heart of Savannah’s Landmark Historic District, Husk transforms the essence of Southern food.  Executive Chef and Savannah native, Chris Hathcock, reinterprets the bounty of the surrounding area, exploring an ingredient-driven cuisine that begins in the rediscovery of heirloom products and redefines what it means to cook and eat in the South. Black Rifle Coffee–veteran-owned coffee company serving premium coffee committed to supporting veterans, law enforcement, and first responders. With every purchase you make, they give back. Collins Quarter Downtown- for a decadent dinner with perfect wine pairing. Turbine Market & Cafe- located at the JW Plant Riverside Marriott, perfect for starting your day with breakfast in Savannah, this restaurant features full service dining for breakfast and then casual grab and go market items with seating available for lunch and dinner. Get the French toast and pineapple mimosa 😉 Local 11 ten– Situated a block south of Savannah’s Forsyth Park in Historic Downtown Savannah, Local 11ten creates a nightly dining experience complete with decadent cuisine, a welcoming personality and modern, sleek design.
• What to do- Go to Forsyth Park-This majestic 30-acre park named for Georgia’s 33rd governor has it all! The city’s most famous fountain—installed in 1858 and modeled after the Paris fountains—crowns the northern edge of the park, inspiring selfies, proposals and weddings. Also where Forrest Gump was filmed waiting for his bus! The Prohibition Museum– Not your typical dry museum! History nerds will love it and they know how to bring the roaring 20s back to life! Trolley ride to historic neighborhood. Haunted House- Savannah is one of the most haunted cities in America. There are different tours. They all get booked fast, so organize your visit with time. I visited the Sorrel Weed property. Definitely haunted and if ghosts are not your thing DO NOT GO. Spa- I loved the spa at our hotel. They get booked, make appointments with time! River Cruise- Again, you have options. Concierge at your hotel will point you in the right direction. Visit Tybee Island- Located just 20 minutes from downtown Savannah. Facing due east, this Georgia barrier island has been a popular vacation spot since the late 1800s. Check out the lighthouse if you’re feeling like getting some cardio in and have lunch at Spanky’s! Also take a stroll on the pier and go fishing! We did rent a boat, but you can still enjoy Tybee Island without one.
